Audio files for iOS

Ok everyone "Sound Off" & please let me know where you get your best, new audio files and how to get them onto iOS devices without going through iTunes. I need the free versions with no worries. I've found a few sites but not quite sure how to get them onto my iPad or iPhone since they are my only modes of editing for now. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks
