ARRIS CM2000 Brushless Gimbal v4....still struggling

I finally go my software installed and I can actually see something. I'm using a old laptop with Windows XP 32bi but I'm not getting the setting they say the gimbal currently has in place. I'm also getting this error " GUI vs. Board Mismatch".

The gimbal is working perfectly, I'm just trying to get the pitch setup using the 7th channel. This has been one huge brain teaser. I've installed and re-installed the gimbal driver, software and java on three computers. This old lap top is the first one that actually got some sort of connectivity. Any thoughts??

I finally solved it.!!!! Contrary to what I was being told to do. I had to get the Phantom and gimbal turned on and ready to go. Then connect to the USB and then start the software. After that, the my old laptop running Windows XP 32bit was the only computer that I could get to read the gimbal. All is good now.

How do you connect the gimbal to the PC???? Really struggling

There is a mini usb port on the front of the CM 2000 this is for connection with your pc.
After staeting the program select your port.
