App will not recognize new Phantom 3

I crashed my P3P :(

I got a replacement P3P :)

The DJI Go app will not recognize the new bird :( The RC and aircraft connect, but the app does not enter camera view.

Any ideas?

I assume you paired correctly?
I had the same problem but in my case the USB port on my 300A controller stopped working suddenly. No warning at all.
Check your lead and if you have a 300A controller it just might be the port!

Yes I do have the latest version of the app. In fact, I just tried deleting and re-installing the app but that did not fix the issue. Now instead of the ghosted out "Enter Camera View" button I see a "How to Connect" button.

By "pair correctly" I assume you mean: power on RC, then bird, then app. Yes I did that, to no effect.

If it maters, I'm using a full replacement kit - brand new bird and RC. The RC model is: GL300C.

Any more ideas?!

Ok here is what finally got it to work:

With the USB cable plugged in to the RC and phone (iPhone 6+):

- power on RC
- power on bird
- unplug USB cable from phone and RC, then plug back in

The last step is what seemed to do the trick. Thanks again for your help. Now it's time to upgrade FW and do some flying!
