I'm leaving for Ontario tomorrow and really want to take my P4. I'll be fishing in a remote location with virtually zero chance of annoying or encountering anyone else while I'm up there. We do have float planes fly overhead pretty low so I'll be very careful to keep it within eyesight to avoid any issues there. I'm mainly curious if I'm likely to run in to any problems crossing the border with it.

    Anyone done this recently?

I'm in Ontario and have never had an issue. I originally bought a P3 in Florida and had no problem bringing it home with me. You're all good and don't even need an FAA registration in Canada.

    Enjoy the trip

Are they bad this year? It's been really cool down here but we did have a few warm spells earlier in the year. I was hoping the bugs wouldn't be out of control this time up.

I'm jealous! Man I would love to be going into Canada for this type of trip to film the amazing scenery!

Enjoy it to the fullest! Post up some vivid shots in the Pictures and Video portion of the site!

I'll post a link to the video once I get back and get a chance to put it all together. I'm very much an amateur when it comes to making videos but I'm hoping to tell the whole story. I've got a Go Pro, Virb, Canon HF G30, Nikon P900 and the P4. I've got a lot of ideas on what I'd like to shoot, hopefully I can pull it off.

They're usually bad this time of year. Black flies especially if you're coming up in the next couple of weeks. They've been out full force twilight on the golf courses. What part of Ontario are you heading to.

We're in west Ontario. We cross at Ft Francis and it's 4 hours of mostly logging roads from there. We go up this same time every year and we never know how mad they'll be until we step out of the trucks. If they're bad we find out within seconds lol.
