Here is the county ordinance.

"No person shall land, launch or operate any model aircraft, whether gas-powered or electric or other propulsion, within any county recreation area except in posted designated areas or with prior written permission of the county director of community services or deputy director."

if you took off and landed from the recreation area, your bad - if you flew over it and took off outside of it, you have a point to object.

A Phantom is not a model aircraft, it's a small but full size one.

While you could probably argue that, all the FAA provisions for private usage of drones refer to them as model aircraft, so you might end up causing issues with the FAA instead of a small town if you successfully argue that you're not actually flying a model aircraft.
