Went to update the iOSD mini to v1.06 today and the assistant still says the latest version is v1.04. BTW I am using the latest iOSD v4.0 assistant.

Has anyone with a mini updated to v1.06?

Yeah strange as the release notes say v1.06 was released on the 7th.

Date: 4/7/14
iOSD mini firmware version: 1.06
iOSD mini assistant software version: 4.00
iOSD mini manual version: 1.06

xgeek, my experience same as yours, at least as of today. March 8 at 6:00 pm in the central time zone in the USA.

So no need to update unless you're in 3.0 and fly near an airport.

Date: 2014/4/7
iOSD mini firmware version: 1.06
iOSD mini assistant software version: 4.00
iOSD mini manual version: 1.06

What is new? Firmware
 Airport flight safety notification*

User Manual
 Information about for airport flight addition

Note:
*Airport flight safety notification only available for Phantom 2.

Is that a comment or a question?

I just think having the new "airplane" icon in the display will be helpful to determine why a Phantom 2 is not responding to commands.

Hi Guys I just tried the DJI IOSD Assistant 4.0 and it upgraded my IOSD mini to 1.06.

Thank you. I will try again today.

Is anyone aware of meaningful improvements in iOSD functionality (no fly zones does not qualify as "helpful" in my book) with the latest iOSD firmware? I didn't see mention of any, but curious if anyone has read of or experienced improvements.

I believe it just adds the airplane icon to the display when you are within a no-fly zone.

I thought it would be useful to indicate a problem. Such as when the Phantom believes it is within a no-fly zone and won't fly, when in actuality it is not within a no-fly zone and should fly. Or on the other hand, I'm in a no-fly zone and didn't know it.

If the Phantom won't fly, this might give me a clue.

If you aren't going to update to 3.0 then don't update the iosd mini.
