Hi All. Looking to get to these next weekend. I don't intend getting too close possibly 60m from them.

They are constructed of metal. I intend to calibrate about 100m from them..

Should I be aware of anything.

Thanks in advance.

Mark.

The Kelpies are constructed of stainless steel cladding (quite possibly non-magnetic) ona structural steel support.
They weigh 300 tons each.
Unless you want to get in close (like 2 or 3 metres), there will be no discernable impact on your Phantom's compass.
If your compass is working properly, don't recalibrate your compass at all.
Unnecessary recalibration can cause more problems that you think you are preventing

I'd say you should be good. But set your RTH higger than their heads just to be sure.

And make sure you're actually allowed to fly there. There are always huge numbers of people there and you don't want to get on the wrong side of the beak.
Was thinking that too. It opens at 10am. I intend being there for 7.
