Any Drawbacks for Dual Redundancies?

One nice feature that the Phantom 4 gained was dual IMU's and compasses, as it provides more flight accuracy and redundancy. However, I was wondering if there are any drawbacks? For instance, if one of the compasses or IMU's fails during flight, I would hope that the P4 can still return home safely. However, what happens with the next flight, will the software let you take fly again before getting it fixed? Also, how likely are these sensors to fail and do the pairs make it significantly more expensive to fix?

I'm debating upgrading to a P4 and am just trying to consider everything.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I don't think there is any disadvantage of having redundancy. Though MTBF reduces but flying reliability improves.
