Antenna question P2V+

I currently have my wifi repeater on my P2V+ modded, on one side I put a 9 db omni directional antenna, on the other one I Have a 14 db TPlink directional antenna. I have not tried this with my amplifier yet (misplaced one rp-sma-rpsma female cable) however my fpv video cuts out at about 1200 or so feet (city) even when being pointed directly at. This worried me as this is roughly what I was getting with the stock antenna, is there anything wrong with my setup? if you have increased the limits in your phantom software, then the problem resides with the antennas.
Omnis that are too high gain are not good for flying FPV, you need good directional ones.

This really did not answer my question. Here is a part 2, the two antenna ports on the wifi extender, do they both send signal to the bird?

Also here is the antenna I have, any input on what might fix my video issue? (Updating bird antenna, etc)
