I just received a used P2V+ version 2 that I bought. It has a broken gimbal, but that's not an issue for me.
I cannot establish a working wifi connection with it. If I try re-binding the repeater to the Phantom, I'm able to enter the Mac address. As soon as I switch to camera mode to see the battery levels, etc, the connection is dropped.
I tried using the repeater I have on my P2V+ version 3. I was able to re-bind it to the version 2 Phantom, but the connection still dropped.
With both repeaters, I tried restarting everything after doing the re-bind, and before going into camera view. Didn't make a difference.
The version 2 repeater is working with the version 2 Phantom.
Is there a difference between the repeaters on the version 2 and version 3 models?
I also tried changing gimbals, just in case some connections on the version 2 gimbal board were bad.
