another hard landing....

It's all about personal preference.

I've only done the hand catching things a few times, but got a nice slice once and gave up on that idea.
I then put the prop guards back on for ages not because my flying was crap or anything but just to save the props for those odd times when it tips over when landing.
I had the long legs found on eBay to protect the gimbal in long grass etc but found it even more prone to tip overs when landing in gusty winds.

The best solution I've found so far was to ditch the prop guards again and put on the adjustable legs (see pic) which have a great long and wide footprint and give you a nice sure footed landing.
I've found that adjusting the legs to a 45 degree angle gives good clearance for the gimbal and still plenty of stability.
In the pic the legs are uneven and in the area of 50 degrees which made it a bit too squat wasn't much higher than the standard legs.

Oh the legs are heavier too by the way, so I recommend the DJI 9450 props which gives increased lift and better flight time :-D
