Had a blast today. Saw in the AMA magazine an RC event that was only 33 miles from my house. So I took a ride over there. Saturday and Sunday are the most busy days, but could not make it then. There were about 18 different groups there with copters, airplanes, and jet airplanes. The last time I was at this type event must have been 35 years ago. The simple planes then were, at most, two feet wing span. The planes today were 7 feet across. Fancy looking, not old, cars and trucks with enclosed trailers full of RC stuff. Countless thousands of dollars of stuff at that site. Lots of very friendly people there also. I was happy no one asked me to keep my 219,000 mile, rusted van away from all their new cars. When it came to the planes the best one was the jet fighter. That thing sounded just like a jet plane. A real nice event.
