Am planning to take a video of some fireworks. So i have to get the bird as high as possible. So nobody hits the bird. How high would you recommend me to lift it up?

Higher than the max height of the fireworks.

That depends entirely on which grade of fireworks are being used. I had a near-miss at 120m with a show here that wasn't supposed to be higher than 100m. It looked very like AAfire in the movies- vlcsnap-00005.jpg

You don't necessarily have to be higher than the fireworks unless you plan to aim the camera straight at the ground. Where you need to be is positioned so that you have a good background and you are not over the crowd.
