On Sunday, and today, I will be flying close to Portland International. My question is about contacting the airport tower. Last weekend we flew within the 5 mile radius too. The number I have for the tower, 503-493-7500, has regular business week hours, it's closed on the weekends. I get a recorded message. Last week I called and left a message giving my name, registration number, date and time, and finally the location. I would feel better talking to someone. Is this correct procedure, or should I try and find a different number. Thanks!
