It is also worth bearing in mind that dji sell the Phantoms with a battery but minus the remote and charger, might work out cheaper than a repair.
Again using UK prices, a P3S is £369. Given that the parts alone you need come to around £330 and you get an extra battery worth £120 thats a pretty good deal.

OP: You said your dad bought another Standard. I was wondering why you used THAT as the donor instead of the damaged drone?
