Elginet, in the "Upgrade" section of the Phantom Assistant application, you must manually upgrade the firmware on each battery. You need to do the following:
1) Turn on the remote controller and power up the Phantom (with the props removed for safety).
2) Start the Phantom Assistant software.
3) Go to the "Upgrade" section. You'll see the option to install the battery firmware if it's not already running the latest firmware.
4) After the firmware has been installed, turn the Phantom off, turn the remote controller off, and close the Phantom Assistant software.
5) If you have additional batteries, insert the next battery and go back to step #1 above.
