I own a GoPro 3+ Black, so like many I'm vacillating between the P2V+ and building similar functionality out of a P2/gimbal/etc. However, getting a live stream to a tablet out of the DIY P2 version gets quite a bit more expensive.
A GP3 weighs only about 50g. P2V+ specs don't list additional payload capacity. But assuming P2V+ can carry similar weight to a P2 (1300g total, according to the specs), adding on a GP3 to a P2V+ puts it just a hair above that weight. Either direct to the chassis, or - ideally - alongside the built in camera on the gimbal. Just start it recording before takeoff, and navigate using the built in camera. Not a perfect solution, but in cases where you absolutely want the better image quality for some reason...
