I am curious if any of my fellow Canuck flyers have taken the "leap", either with
The Phantom or another platform and made application to Transport Canada for a
Special Flight Operations Permit to shoot any "for fee" video or stills?

I ask because I'm curious what your experience was like. Also, I'm VERY interested
In the regatory "interpretation" you had. It seems some have very favorable
"Relaxation" of the "one event, one permit" regulation, getting Province wide
    " blanket" permits issued.

Having worked for Transport Canada for quite a few years, that sort of disregard
Of the Regs would surprise me, but there is at least one company Advertising that
    They have one

I have and I'm at the keyboard now working on a SFOC. I won't go into it in public in case there are trolls lurking. Send me a PM.

That said, I'm stuck on the Appendix F, "Small UAV System Statement of Conformity Template". Really? All this to do aerial inspections of barn silos, residential roofs and the occasional real estate work using a 1.2kg tool.

LOL....I just realized how old your post is.
