Is it necessary to upgrade new batteries that haven't been received yet using 1.1.9 before 1.2.6 when they finally arrive ?

Guys, read the instructions carefully this time.

On the P3A you do not need to update the transmitter... BUT on the P3P, you will NEED to update the transmitter. P3A is code 1.2.7 P3P is code 1.2.6! Note the difference.

P3A - No need to updated transmitter
P3P - Code updates transmitter as well as your Phantom 3 Professional.

Ok I will start flashing in 30min with P3A. It's a rainy day ... who knows what will happen !!
I hope to put BIN in the ROOT. Anyway trying to update RC doesn't cause any thriller...

Read the directions ... if it contains a battery update DJI will advise.
btw .. battery updates are likely to be quite infrequent.

SDK Support has been available since inception.
When will it come in the APPs? When its ready anyone's guess.

It's best to always keep the latest firmware in the root of your memory card. That will allow the DJI Pilot application to install updates on your batteries as needed.

no this is an error. sdk is supported from dji, but dji now not implement this feature in a public firmware release. only in a developer firmware and i have the developer firmware.

Will I be able to fly my P3P normally (for the time being) without performing this update? I'm short on time for the next few days, yet have a few flights scheduled.

Be patient with this update - it took 20 minutes this time.

Really .. this is not important at all.
Battery updates are not going to coming out very often and when they do you are going to know.
Plenty of opportunity to do it then rather than anxious newbies worrying all the time about flying without a current file on their card.
Fly with a clean formatted SD card and you'll be fine.

Where does it say anything about updating the transmitter in the release notes?
