Hello All,

Been working on a clean and fairly noninvasive way to install a 7 inch display on my radio. The mount is held securely with a t-nut mounted from inside the radio. The plasitc shell of the radio is nice and thick (3.5 mm) so it works well with the t-nut. The only modification to the radio is a tiny 3.5mm hole in the face and this is fitted with the t-nut from inside the case. Nice and solid and completly adjustable using the mount that came with the display.

Awesome, where did you find the screen and mount? Are you using goggles too? I have successfully split my video from my attitude Fatsharks, to an external screen. Problem was it needs to be plugged in to the wall.

What about something like this?

I like these and I am going to look into this just need to find a decent screen first.

Gardenroute I dont think its a great Idea having the DJI radio antenna in front of the screen as this means the signal will have to go through the screen and the less objects between it and the phantom the better I think. So it may be better to adjust your mount so the screen goes above the antenna to avoid causing any extra interference to the signal. :?:

MX45OR,

I found the screen at MCM electronics. http://www.mcmelectronics.com MCM Part #: 83-14402. $72.

It has two video inputs. Runs off a 7.4 or 11.1 Lipo with no problem.

Gardenroute's solution is gorgeous and first class if you have access to equipment to make the carbon fiber frames. My solution uses the existing parts and keeps the antenna behind the display.

Yes, I use Fatshark Attitude Goggles, too. I take the video out of the headset sending video to the display for onlookers.

I just ordered my fpv setup from helipal and they also had the same screen mount as gardenroute and its only $27 so i bought that. http://www.helipal.com/fpv-monitor-moun ... itter.html

I also got a 7 inch screen http://www.helipal.com/airy-7-monitor-f ... ystem.html I assume its ok but I can always get another down the track if I dont like it as it was pretty cheap. Cant be too bad as its sold for fpv purpose and also has a screen hood for only a few dollars more. I went for the DJI avl58 500mw tx rx with dji antennas which should be ok for what I need.

Question to fpv guys if shooting 2.7k protune, can you still get video out as I assume its using the same low res output as the gopro lcd screen and not feeding the 2.7k footage out via the analogue outputs. Seen lots of people shoot 2.7k fpv video so this should be fine and its my main mode so it wouod really suck if I couldnt use it for fpv.
