DIY 5v strobe fitted to the rear of my P3S, powered by 5v lipstick power pack used for recharging mobile phones etc. Makes seeing the aircraft a lot easier against the sky and even at distance, the battery lasts for ages, and it is very light, because its rear/facing down at 45 deg, it doesn't effect video/photo etc (not sure ref complete darkness) ?

£4 for the strobe + £5 for the power pack. link for strobe unit ----

Very cool Eddie, have you got a close up of how you attached it to you P3? I think this is just cool!, gotta get one.

Awesome!! Specific suggestions for the 5v power pack? Thanks!

These things are widely available for backup charge for mobile phones etc, the strobe is available in different voltages and could probably be connected to the aircraft's main battery,I didn't want to take the chance !, but works the best for me

The Strobon is only a cellphone light, I have two and are not very bright. I did make a strobe from a T6 flashlight for 10$ that you can see for a mile in daylight!!!
