Hi there,

I'm completely new to this market, so appreciate the community here for my rookie questions.

I need an all-in-one FPV solution for my Phantom 2 setup. I'm going to be using the DJI AVL58 5.8 Video link kit for transmission from the quad, but I don't want to use the included receiver. INSTEAD, I'm considering either the Boscam RX-LCD5802 5.8GHz or the Black Pearl RC801 FPV Diversity Rx 5.8GHz.

With either system, I will be upgrading to the dual clover antennas.

Required features:
-works with AVL58
-integrated 5.8GHz receiver
-integrated battery
-mountable to stock DJI Phantom controller

Anybody who can speak to both of these options or alternative options would be much appreciated.

Also, is the DJI AVL58 transmitter a good option to go with?

Thanks!

If you already have de DJI AVL58 tx keep it, if not i would recommend to get the TS353 400mw tx instead, because the DJI AVL58 t is expensive and very heavy compared to the TS353.

If you want to do some long range change the antennas, use a cloverleaf and Helical on the LCD, and cloverleaf on the Tx.

A good setup i recommend is this compact setup:

LCD with receiver and battery:
Boscam 7" RX-LCD5802 5.8GHz Diversity Receiver: http://j.mp/1lZuham
LCD Battery Charger: http://j.mp/1h3CreQ

Video transmitter:
Boscam TS353 400mw: http://j.mp/1gJ6t7s

The TS353 can do some long range, as you can see on this video:
