5.8 phantom receivers

Hi. Sorry if this has been covered already. I cannot find the information after searching.

Are the 5.8 receiver boards between the phantom 2 vision and the phantom 2 vision plus, interchangeable?

I assumed they would be, and almost purchased the DJIPV-16 version from a local auction site. Until I noticed this version was "designed for" the standard vision.

The reason I want one, is so I can remove the epoxy and upgrade the antenna.

Is it ok to use either version? Is one better than the other? I have a vision plus.

I can't see why there would be any difference. Maybe the Plus owners are bigger suckers?
