Considering purchasing a 4K tv and have a couple of questions.

1. How do I talk my wife in to the idea?
2. How or can one get the p3p 4K videos to play on the tv?

Thanks
David

1. Tell her jewelry looks better on 4K TV. Tell her , her pictures would look much better on 4K TV. Tell her: her friends will be jealous of her purchase. Tell her there is a deal to save $100
2. Yes I watch my 4K P3 videos on my TV

SD card to use adapter for most modern 4K TVs
It does look quite impressive

Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots mobile app

Hey thanks will try all of those! Can you explain how you get the video from the sd card onto the tv?
I always post process my 4K videos before posting onto YouTube in 4K format. After posting, I use my tv directly to connect to YouTube and watch uploaded videos.

You can also watch directly from your SD card by plugging it into your TV using an adapter.

Thats what I do... a USB3 card reader in the USB3 port on my 4K. Easy and looks great.

But LOG color profile look terrible without post processing :-/
That's what I said above I need post processing. And after post processing I can directly upload to YouTube and/or copy to a file. File can be on any media that suits TV.

Secondary problems are resolved, what's most important to OP is how to convince his wife to allow him to buy 4K TV. :)

I put all my vids on a portable hard drive then plug into usb socket on my tv.

SD card USB adapter into Samsung 4K UHD 70 inch. Pretty amazing. Or if I've edited, just copy the file to a USB thumb drive and pop it into the TV box.

You could just purchase a 4K monitor for your computer, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Upstar-M280A1...rue&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_1&smid=ARJZN1OO049VU

You will need an advanced video card for that to work. I was considering this one: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-...rue&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_2&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I was wondering what type of setup do you use to edit 4K? My computer is a bit under powered for the task:
Video GPU: AMD Radeon HD 5450
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 2.7GHz
Memory: 8Gb
Editor: Adobe Premier Elements 14i

I was thinking of upgrading my video card only, but before blowing $130, I'd like to know your system specs. Thanks

Here's my PC setup

CPU : Intel I7 4790K watercooled
MB : Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5
Memory : 32Gb
GPU Nvidia GTX 980TI
Editor : PowerDirector 14

Works great

As for how to convince the wife, you can either ask permission before or ask forgiveness after
Both have their advantages AND disadvantages

Good luck
