Thanks. That link worked. I'm a little reluctant to unpack it since Norton gave a warning - not that there was a virus or anything, but that the file was released only a week ago, has been downloaded only 5 times, and there is no information on stability or user/community experience.

Has anyone actually unzipped this and used it? Is it safe?

I don't blame you after the last debacle.
Went 100% fine! no issues at all. Setting stayed the same.
Less then 5 minutes and painless.

I can fully agree with Rampage42... I have just upgraded and found no issues.
As an aside I noticed the mod value on my compass was down in the 230 range (1500-1800 recommended) and so I took the dreaded magnet to my compass module as described in Colin Guinn's video in order to degauss it. That too worked fine and now my mod value is at about 1600.

Now all I need is a break in the weather so I can fly the thing. Hurricane forecast for Monday... over London !!!
