This is a feature within DJI Ultimate Flight

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kenargo.djiultimateflight3

Attached a template covers an area (the largest a single battery can support). Putting the images together can be done using apps like Create3D or Agisoft. (Agrisoft is highly recommended). You can cut the mission down and remove outer orbits as needed. This is intended to give you an idea as to what mission templates in Ultimate Flight can do.

If you do not have appropriate software and would like to see your output you can send me the jpg files and can have them put together (limited number of offers).

There are others on the group that may also be able to put imagery together and if they offer to help great but I'm not going to put them on the spot

This is an example output:

To use the template:

Create a folder under DJI_Ultimate_Filght and name of "Templates". Save the attached file into the Templates folder.

Once on-site place a single waypoint on the map (using either waypoint at aircraft or touching the map). Touch the load button and you will see a "Templates" tab, select it and open the template you placed into the folder. The mission will expand onto the location you select. Fly the mission and collect the photos.

Once the mission completes you can assemble the photos using your favorite tool.

What software was used to make the 3D flight? Very nice!

This particular customer uses a custom app that uses the ArcGIS libraries to generate the CSV file and adds a reference point to convert the mission (CSV) into a mission template (CSV).

Ultimate Flight (UF) saves it's missions in CSV format to their output makes the missions directly. They also can generate DTF (digital terrain files) that give altitude accuracy down to 1' or less that UF can read to convert from AGL to above takeoff in real-time.

Mostly these things have been used by environmental study users but I'm finding more and more are using these to pre-define rather complex missions and to use those missions in varying locations.
