3.1.3, GOOGLE MAPS, P3S

I can get GOOGLE maps every time on my P3S , android 3.1.3 with this procedure : Wi-Fi must be turned on LAST , Wi-Fi cannot be turned on before AC is turned on 1. turn on RC 2.turn on AC 3. wait till after camera start up P3S will beep again DDD DDD 4. NOW turn on device's Wi-Fi , let it connect 5. start GO APP and you will have GOOGLE maps !

Not on mine it doesn't ....

I always start up in what is usual SAFE RC sequence .... Controller / Tx first ... then model / Aircraft ... then P3 WiFi ... then start app on my Android.

No matter what I do - its HERE maps ... no Google at all. Only App with Google is Litchi on mine.

do you have wi fi turned on , on your device first ? if I wait to turn on wi fi on my device I get google everytime , I used to set up my phone first , now I do it last and it works .

it seems that we are connecting too soon ,phantom needs longer start up , wait 3-4 secs. after camera for phantom to beep again

I now USUALLY get Google maps with v3.1.3. But, 'sometimes' I get Here maps on first startup. I just kinda randomly restart DJI Go, and change wifi from aircraft to other. After a little futzing around, I get Google maps. I always check maps at home before heading out to fly. Once I have Google maps, and I've cached my flying location, I turn off wifi until I get to the flying site. At the flying site I will have Google maps.

To be honest Google and Here maps round me are as crap as each other ... well out of date.

IDK what I'm doing to make it happen but about 50% of the time, I get Google maps and 50% here. I'll pay attention next time to the order in which I'm turning things on/connecting to WiFi.
