This is my 4th or 5th flight, loosing track now, it is way too much fun. Decided to get brave and go further and higher. At the end of the video as I reached 11 minutes flight time my batteries were very low, so much so I nearly dumped into the field. When I brought her back in to land the light was flashing red but I had no audible warning of the impending power drain, am I missing something in the set up perhaps?

There is no audible warning. If you want one, you'll need to equip the Phantom with one. You can find them on eBay

or any of your favorite hobby shops. They easily hook into your balance port on the battery. Set the low voltage you want for the battery and it will sound the alarm when it reaches that level. Cutting a small hole in the battery door allowing the balance plug to stick out will give you better access. Using UV resistant Velcro attach the Low Voltage Alarm to the front of the door. Have fun...
