Bought the original phantom last year and went through a large experimental stage which included mounting a sony rx100 and various gopro setups but never a proper rig and got the video I deserved..not so hot
I've just ordered a DJI Zenmuse H3-2D 2-axis GoPro Gimbal as well as a Futaba 8JA 8-Channel 2.4GHz S-FHSS
What upgrade is needed to the Phantom bearing in mind that the Futaba has the means to control the tilt function of the gimbal.
I've seen tutorials which change the motherboard of the phantom completely and other just add a pmu along with the bits supplied with the zenmuse
what's your take on this?

I added the pmu board not too long ago. Easy to do. Did a little research and zenmuse worked perfect. Only thing is I am using stock transmitter and keep bumping the tilt lever on the back. I took it off for now. Got to be a better way. Of course, you will not have that problem with the Futaba.

did you change the green circuit board or just install a black-box?
Maybe you could drill thru the tx case and mount a lever on top? idk just a thought
