1st flight prep question

So...my P3P arrives tomorrow (Im majorly excited)!
Anyway I have been busy reading manuals, watching videos, reading forums etc...
I have a question;
Assuming my new unit arrives with 1.1.9, and I dont upgrade (I dont plan to)...and the IMU doesnt show any issues....should I still perform a cold IMU align?
(I ask because some say the factory does it best...)

Yes. Do an IMU cal and a gimbal cal. Do both on a completely level surface.

If you are using iOS, fly the flight sim until you get comfortable.
