    Hello,

Sorry if there is already a thread about this.

Is the 1080p at 48fps (I've seen this described some places) a firmware upgrade? I havn't been able to find it on my Phantom 3 Standard.

    Thanks.

    Where is that "advertised"?

The specs page reads as follows:

    Video Recording Modes
    • 2.7K: 2704 x1520p 24/25/30 (29.97)
    • FHD: 1920x1080p 24/25/30
    • HD: 1280x720p 24/25/30/48/50/60

Hi, maybe not advertised, but I've seen it at least 3-4 places:
"... a third Phantom 3 model: the Standard. Second, it shoots "2.7K" video (2704x1520) at 30fps, 1080p video at up to 48fps, and 720p video at up to 60fps." http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2015/08/flying-djis-new-phantom-3-standard-better-software-better-camera/

Or here: "The Standard, as with the rest of the range, comes equipped with a camera mounted on a motorised gimbal. The camera features a 1/2.3-inch, 12 million pixel sensor that is capable of capturing 2.7K video at 30fps, 1080p at 48 fps or 720p at 60fps" DJI Phantom 3 Standard hands on review | TechRadar

    Is this not true?

I just threw mine on and there is no setting for 1080 with 48 fps. It's only 30 or 24 so that's why you can't find it.

    Alright, thanks.

I guess it made sense to me that it would have 1080p at a higher frame rate than 2.7K, but I guess not.

Strange, has anyone else noticed how often reviews make that claim?

Here's another: "The Standard tops out at 48fps when shooting at 1080p":

Is strange but it's not in the app so they must be just wrong or the app is . Wonder where they get their info.

I don't know about you guys but my p3a has an option for 1080p at 48 fps. I tried it and it looks terrible, like a jerky 25 fps. I'll be going back to 30 fps.

I've found that specification in the Phantom 3 Standard Quick Start Guide paper, with basic information of how you use your copter (Download app, chech battery, takeoff) which was in the pack with the Phantom, and there in the specifications page is written in the Video Recording Modes: FHD: 1920x1080 24/25/30/48. I can't find that fps in the video settings as well.
So it's not actually someone's mistake, it's clearly written on the paper, which came with my bird. But it seems that it's not true, which is strange...
