Hi Everybody,

I'm looking into setting up a 1.3GHz FPV system, and I'm confused about how I'm going to connect the transmitter to the camera. Here is my tentative list of equipment:

- 400 mW 1.3GHz transmitter http://www.nghobbies.com/cart/index.php ... 4DHItxbTwI
- Digital Display Receiver 1.3GHz http://www.nghobbies.com/cart/index.php ... 4DNc9xbTwI
- 1.3GHz BluBeam Ultra FPV Antennas
- FatShark PilotHD 720p 30fps HD FPV Camera http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... amera.html

It looks like I'll have to take apart the Fatshark camera and solder the connection? Is that correct? If this is the case, what pins would I need to solder the transmitter to?

Are there any other cameras that you would suggest that may be better/easier to take apart and solder?

Thanks for all of the help!

Hey there,

I was thinking about doing a similar setup and then I came across this guys blog:

"After many attempts of getting this working, I went back to using a 5.8 Vtx.
1.3 has not only caused me catastrophic failures due to radio loss, but also GPS loss.
After a few fly-aways, it just becomes not worth it."

Not sure if you are using a 2.4 radio? Just figured I would pass that along... Not sure what other people's experiences are with similar setups?

Hmmmmm... That doesn't look good. Losing 2.4GHz signal every once and a while doesn't scare me too much, but 2 flyaways?? I wonder if using a lower video frequency would make any difference?

Were you planning on putting the 1.3 system on the phantom, or another multirotor?

Maybe if the 1.3GHz system interferes so much with naza's gps I could simply not use the gps module on my f450. It would be awesome to hear from anybody that has used a similar setup and their experiences with it!
