firmware update p3p

I bought my P3P in late fall last year. It came with 1.4x FW and I did not update it before putting it away for the winter. My question is what is my best update path? Can I go right to 1.7 (and the latest RC/Batt updates), or do I have to go through the previous versions first and incrementally...
