I had a similar incident yesterday. Have P2V+. Calibrated Compass and had Homelock & GPS lock. Did a couple of previous flights at same location with no problems. On the third flight I was hovering about 20 feet in the air with no wind and it was rock steady. All of the sudden the P2V+ took...
Got my 333 last week. Now I need a Sport, Rec or Private Pilot's License & get a N-Number for my Phantom & I am all set. Either that or I just wait till the NPRM gets finalized in the next one to two years.
I know there are two different DJI props for the P2, the older ones and the newer ones with the different pitch. Are they able to mixed and matched? Will the Flight Controller balance them together? If so I am assuming they will be spinning at different RPMs. Will this make "the jello effect"...
Foreflight is about $75 a year. Same with Garmin Pilot. Overkill. I just want something for Airspace and wouldn't mind paying $10 or so for an app. Looks like everything is geared to Private Pilots.
Does anyone know of an iOS App that would tell me what airspace I'm in? It would also need to use the altitude info from the GPS on the phone or Phantom for Class B Airspace. Is such an app available? Would be great if it would also be able to pull up NOTAMS & TFRs also.
I have one and it is very light. It doesn't affect the gimbal operation at all. You can wrap a little bit of black electrical tape around the P2V+ camera and trim to size then when you put on the lens hood it will fit snug.
I had something similar happen to me also. Did compass calibration and tested RTH at beginning of flight. Lost sight so I flipped into IOC Home and pulled back on the stick waiting for my P2V to come back. Nothing. Flipped into RTH. Nothing. I then drove about a half mile into the...
I would try to find it once again. Open up Google Maps and plot your location of where you were and then were it was when you last had signal. Also if you know which way the wind was blowing you can factor that in. If you were at 40% you only had a couple of minutes left of flying time so I...
Has anyone found out what type of controller the Gimbal is using? Anyone know if it is DJI proprietary or something like BaseCam? I am wondering if it is possible to modify some settings if for example a lens kit is added.
