No FPV on Phantom Vision 2

I've tried using another (smaller) card. Made no difference. I'm planning to send the camera back to the UK dealer I bought the Phantom from to see if they can find the fault.

No FPV on Phantom Vision 2

The spinning disk is a standard Apple thing - appears on Apple products when they are busy (e.g. during startup). I see it, in the FPV area, when I use my mini iPad to connect to the Phantom Vision. If I use my android Nexus 7 the FPV area just stays black.

No FPV on Phantom Vision 2

I too have this problem. After 10 months without problems and a break of a month or two, I too cannot get FPV. Everything else works - I can take photos (and the number remaining gets clocked down), see thumbnails in the Album, transfer the full size version, but the screen just stays black...

    Fisheye image

You can do fisheye correction with GIMP (it's free - see http://www.gimp.org/) Simon Newton has done a video on it - see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7FK79ZeavU

    CE and FTC mode

It's a legality issue. In some (most?) European countries, the FCC mode is not legal and we have to use CE mode to limit the transmitter power.

    Question about FPV

In FPV mode, when you tilt/rotate the table/iPad/iPhone, the Phantom will try to follow you moves

    Taking pv2+ v3 to Spain

Not flown to Spain, but have flown to Italy from Bristol via EasyJet. I took my Phantom as carry-on luggage in a backpack-type case (http://www.quadcopters.co.uk/dji-phanto ... 1356-p.asp) without any problems going or coming back. I wasn't even asked to open the case. I'd treat Spain like the...

    TRAVELLING WITH MY PHANTOM

That size case (which will take a Phantom with props on) will not be allowed as carry-on luggage on any of the European cheap arilines (EasyJet, RynaAir, FlyBe etc).

    TRAVELLING WITH MY PHANTOM

I think most of us who have taken our Phantom's on airplanes have used a case or bag that can be carried on and put in an overhead locker, rather than putting the Phantom in checked luggage that goes in the hold. Not only does this satisfy those airlines that won't let you put LIPO batteries...

    taco-rc 3DPOWER Plug-N Play Brushless Gimbal Mount V3

Its very easy to cause a short when plugging/unplugging the camera plug when the Phantom is switched on. If the camera isn't working I suggest you open up the phantom. If you've fried something it will be where the camera cable connects to the main board - see below (it happened to me!).

    camera power

Two of the poles provide +12v and Ground. Not sure which they are though! Be very careful though - a short can burn out a component on the main board. Several people (myself included) have had this happen by fiddling with the camera plug while the Phantom is powered on.

    camera power

No, it carries the info from the main aircraft about GPS, speed, altitude etc to the 2.4GHz transmitter in the camera were it's merged with the camera video. It also carries tilt commands from the Android/iPhone app that go via 2.4GHz to the aerial in the camera and thence to the main aircraft...

    Upgrading the gimbal

I have one too. If you get one, be sure to watch Daniel Sanchez video - it's essential viewing if you want to get the gimbal working properly. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlFVMZEQHDc
