    Remote ID Options

I have a little bar mounted on my Phantom 3, connects the 2 legs, and protects the camera theoretically. I mounted my Remote ID under that. Holy Stone recommends mounting on top of their drones, but I'm pretty sure my GPS is up there so I put it on the bottom. It's very light, so I think I...

    Lost...and Found....my Remote ID Module

So I bought a Holy Stone Remote ID, as I'm a Part 107/Fixed Wing pilot. I stuck it on my Phantom with a piece of Velcro and it fell off my first big flight. It was very windy, and I obviously should have known better. Well I downloaded the first Remote ID Search App I could find, but was...

    Remote ID Options

so I bought the Holy Stone...you link it in their app, and then you register it on the FAA website. This thing is so tiny, I can't imagine anybody anywhere would be close enough to pick up my signal, BUT I'm legal so I'm happy. My old Phantom works fine for my needs, so this will buy me...

    Remote ID Options

I have a 3 pro....old, but still capable for my needs. Yes I'm an IFR Private Pilot.....not messing around with the regs. My plane has public tracking, and I don't really have a problem with my drone having it even though <400 there is no reason we should be having conflicts

    Remote ID Options

anyone found a simple Remote ID option for older DJI products? I'm looking at the Holy Stone, but also might just buy a newer drone with Remote ID included. I'm a Part107 pilot but don't fly much...I'm also a fixed-wing pilot, so I'm not inclined to ignore remote ID and risk eventual...

    FAA RPIC/Part 107 . . . they don't "Expire"

IACRA doesn't know if you are current most likely. As and Instrument rated private pilot, the FAA has no idea if I'm current or not. Night landing, IFR approaches, flight reviews etc are logged but not submitted to the FAA.

    Over people, over vehicles

the new regs allow flying over contained people. This was not the case in the past, as I specifically requested it a few years ago. I guess as all of the teams sign on and general spectators aren't allowed in the infield, it can be approved I've also seen some very sketch coverage of the...

    Over people, over vehicles

I fly over race tracks etc, I'm a racer and a pilot. Flying over the paddock shouldn't normally be allowed.

    Over people, over vehicles

I'm sorry, I watch the full coverage and they DID fly over people. I'll try and find a clip Not doubting his skill, just trying to figure out the process. I doubt CBS would do this without great care

    Over people, over vehicles

How do you get authorization for something like this? Obviously not flying a Phantom

    Remote ID discussion

sorry, seemed like "rules" was a better place to discuss than "news". Regardless, doesn't sound like there is much more to discuss (yet)

    Remote ID discussion

So I’m not against this, am happy to pay a reasonable fee to enable or replace my UAS with this technology however lots to think about. I’m a Private Pilot also, and even fixed wing aircraft non require transponders under the Mode C veil. So will remote ID be required everywhere? Will it...

FAA Part 107 sUAS Recurrent Test ~

FAA Online course was useless, i just Googled my way through a few trick questions and made 100% this morning. Compared to my IFR cert, UAS testing is a joke
