I have run without propellers for troubleshooting purposes but I'm not sure giving it any significant throttle can be good. I'm sure those ESCs buried in the arms rely heavily on the draft from the props to blow into the vents and keep them cool.

I know. It's a real pain to open. I tried installing a tiny micro USB hub in it once to I wouldn't have to open it every time. But it turns out that you can't have the NAZA, iOSD, GCU connected to the same computer at the same time. They (DJI) won't explain why.

Thanks! Just applied the update and the tilt response is..well...responsive. Movement is immediate and there's no deceleration so if you were relying on the smooth movement to get a clean shot, it will be harder to get. Dave
