Most likely it's the esc. Does the led light go out when the motor cuts off? If so then the esc is definately bad. Test it by taking the props off and run the motors, keeping an eye on the led.

You can reset the home point while it's in the air using the S2 switch. This effectively resets the elevation for RTH/failsafe as well.

I don't think it would be because of the props, assuming they're genuine DJI props. Cheap imitations can cause some wierd behaviors. Doe's the Phantom drift and yo-yo with the original props or just the 9443s? Or it could be you need to do an advanced calibration.

Don't worry about the satellites and battery Flash, just have fun. You can use larger batteries in the P1 also and with 9 inch props you can get flight times close to what the P2 provides.

You'll need 2212 920KV motors, 2 CW and 2 CCW. Lot's of dealers on eBay sell them, original DJI motors and other brands too that will work. Get motors with bare end wires, not with plugs. These are cheap, I'm not recommending them just using them as an example of what you need...

It could be your S1 switch is broken or has a detached wire. If you have access to another remote you could bind it to your FC40 and test it.

Yes that's the same "basket" camera holder that comes standard with the P1.1.1. The nut and bolt have to be removed to take the camera out but it can be charged and plugged into the computer while it's in the basket.
