Thank you. I will. Great to know that there are services available if needed, outside of contacting DJI directly. I do have a question about the battery that was in the drone. It's an original DJI battery. It got knocked loose during the impact. No bodily damage that I can see. It does have some...
The camera is missing. Arms sheered off. Gimbal missing. The part that houses the SD card I found, but I don't know what's missing from that To be honest, something's are better left dead. I think that was the tag line for the movie "Pet Sematary".
From what I've seen on YT videos, the Mavic can handle pretty strong winds. I'm sure the body style is a factor. it's much slimmer and not as 'tall'. I took the P3A to South Dakota this past summer. I saw a great shot opportunity but decided not to launch because wind gusts was near 25mph. It...
So thank you again for everyone's input on my last thread on crashing into the wind turnbine. So now, Black Friday/Christmas is coming up. There's nothing that I want except for a new drone. Please give me your thoughts. My wife spent about $800 on the P3A back in 2017. I've added all sorts of...
Have you seen the blades on these things transferred on a flat bed of a semi? It's huge. And it's heavy. I doubt there's any damage at all on the blade. Probably not even a scratch. I can't say the same about my P3.
Yes sir. If you looked to the right of that turbine, behind the slender silver building, there's now a huge solar farm right there. Now if I would have seen this prior to going, I would have realize there's a dirt road that leads right to the Wind Turbine. I Would have taken it and parked right...
This was shot in Northfield MN. A small farming city where I grew up. It's about an hour south of Mpls. Northfield is a city of about 20K. But it's a home to two very prestigious and expensive colleges (St. Olaf and Carlton). IN fact, the wind turnbines are just blocks away from Carlton College.
I showed my boss the video. He taps me on the shoulders and says, "I gotta a Phantom 3 Pro that I never use. Make me an offer". I asked, "What does it include?". He said, "Everything you recommended that I purchased, I bought". So when I have some extra money lying around, I will make an offer...
Yes. I've watched it several times now. The best explanation I have is that I was relying on my eyes and what I saw in the sky. That drone HAD to be behind the turbine. From what I saw, it wasn't close. The turbine is this big object and the drone was a mere dot behind it (or so I thought). It...
Yes Rod. Your work is appreciated. And of course, now you're my newest buddy. To be honest, I viewed it with my wife. She was the one that bought me the DJI a few years ago. She was upset in hearing the news, but when she saw the footage, she was a little more forgiving. She even thought it was...
Cheddarman, I will try to get this file into my video editor and I will share the final version through YouTube. For Rod, I will even add the Titanic music "My heart will go on". Watching it was gut wrenching. But now, I have some final closure. It's something my daughter and I can watch (and...
You guys have to excuse the amateurish flying. I was trying to figure out what to do. I just didn't want to fly towards, then back. I wanted to do a full orbit and needed to do it manually. I haven't done such flying like that in a long time. Usually I do this during flight, then cut it out...
Rod. Thank you. I opened it using my Kodi app (installed on my laptop). It wouldn't play on VLC or Any Player. But at least I was able to view it. Wow. What a complete idiot I was. The thing was right next to the WindTurbine. You can literally see the blade coming at you. My heart breaks again...
