I forgot to mention birds. Seagulls can be very nasty. I tend to fly at about 200' to avoid them. If you have have prop guards remove them they just add drag.
The biggest worry is sand. You need to hand takeoff and hand catch for landing. It is a lot easier than people think. Just assume the statue of liberty position..................

This happened to me as well. I tried new cables and different devices etc etc. I have been told it could be the camera board - it seems to be a known fault. If an update can cure yours then I will try that, Keep us posted please.

If you get compass errors then you are probably getting too close to things with iron or steel. For example concrete usually has rebar running through it.
