Nope, antenna is stuck on there. I found that my bag intended for the Advanced/Pro didn't really have enough space for the controller so I had to cut out the padding and remove the mount.

Some phones are dumb and try to use the phantom connection to get to the internet. I had to swap back and forth on the connection a bit to get updated when I did it. HTC One M8, I'm looking at you.

It may also be causing reflections so try reorienting the tablet and see if that changes anything.

As I understand things the P3 batteries are all the same, the only difference is the charger. I've not looked to see if there is a control connection on the charger connector that the "smart" can use to determine how much wattage the charger can source.

I never got a fail but I certainly got a "stuck for a long time" 30 minutes is a reasonable expectation - although given the flash sizes seems awful slow.

Follow mode won't work without gps on the dji go app. I saw a poor guy struggle with it on youtube. Once he swapped to his phone he was good to go. I've not seen a specific FPV mode - I still have many options to experience. (grin)

One thing I've found after talking to a more experienced pilot is that the antennas on the phantom go down the legs. This means they are vertical - so is your transmitter. The radiation/reception pattern for these antennas is a donut with the hole being centered on the antenna. So straight up...
