Stress cracks. Yes - been well over a year and the stuff works amazingly. No new cracks and it’s strong as ever. I’ve used this stuff to repair a lot of things - it will hold the full-on cracks without issue. I think you’ll be pretty amazed at how much pressure it can take after the repair.
That’s correct. Flight controller is 2.4 and video is 5.8 so it will help in the are of flight control only. I have one - it definitely works to extend range in a reasonably open area.
It's not junk - I have a reprap based printer and the monoprice one is just fine for a first printer and good choice.
If you want to build yours get a tevo tarantula
It's not great. It's less than permanent and starts to come off. I went through this and then used plast-aid and it works the best and far better than epoxy and bondic. I haven't had the cracks spread or develop since putting plast-aid under the motor mounts. Good stuff.
Plast-aid does wonders in the cracks and is cheap. If you open up the drone and patch it up from the inside it will also look pretty good. If you have some chunks missing or need to rebuild an area it also does wonders. I used it on mine to fill the hairline cracks that these things get on...
A 6 inch reflector on the 5.8GHz band should increase signal by approximately 16dBi. That's the math I don't know how that translates to real life change
If the controller is off it's red while charging and turns green when complete. It doesn't continue to charge at that point but will enter in a trickle state. You don't need to run to unplug it when it's green, and leaving it like that overnight is no issue either. But - don't leave it on the...
The controller draws up to 2, and 2 is fine. It doesn't draw any more so 5 is also fine - I don't know what the device you were charging before is like but the controller doesn't work like this and 2A is fine.
For the the controller anything above .5A and 5V DC is fine. 2A is plenty, and it doesn't matter if it's higher it won't draw more anyways.
It's best to charge with t
Anything between .5A and 2A is fine, it won't charge any faster above 2A and you won't damage it with a charger above 2A...
I fixed mine with plast-aid. Open up the shell (which was a pain) remove the motors and fill around the motor mounts with plast-aid - there's plenty of posts on it. I've had no problems since doing it. For everyone thinking it's over torquing that's the problem or that mounts will help - it...
I have the exact same one - I get an extra 100ft with mine compared to without in a dense area. Haven't tried in an open area, but I suspect it would be more. Definitely worth it and fits well.
Did you have the CE version originally or did you have a north American model? I am still on 2.9.x and thinking of updating to iOS go app 3.0.2 but have read to stay away on updates so far.
Best advice given - I'd add to that don't update your app either unless you wait for a stable firmware veraion that works well with it. Lots of issues with large and response for folks upgrading their app and sticking with a lower firmware version like iOS 3.0.X and 1.5.7
They have a tool that slips over the motor it looks kind of like a strap wrench you'd use to change an oil filter on a car. It is the replacement for the old motor style spanner tool.
