    HDMI module and .509 firmware

Hey folks... I'm flying nicely on .509 firmware and was thinking about getting the HDMI module and FPV goggles for my P4P. Before I un-*** the jack for all this, will I be ok with .509 firmware or will I have to upgrade. If I have to upgrade I may not even try. The P4P flies perfectly now. Cheers!

    President in town

As an air traffic controller, before I retired, the secret service would been in the tower and radar room with us as the TFR's and various airspace restrictions were in effect. On one occasion while in a not named major airport, a pilot decided to take off from a grass strip about 45 miles away...

    How’s the latest firmware?

I flew three batteries through it without incident. Only got out to 3500' and 200' high and absolutely no glitch. Flat Florida helps I'm sure with the range. Man, I've forgotten a lot. Back to the drawing board with the learning. o_O

    How’s the latest firmware?

Excellent. That's what I was hoping for. I'm sure I have the latest DJI-Go app and didn't know if it required me to upgrade the firmware to work. Cheers!

    How’s the latest firmware?

Greetings folks... After a cross country move, I’ve decided to get the the P4P back up in the air after an 8 month hiatus. It was flying perfectly previously and was wondering if the latest firmware is just as good. Any issues I should be aware of before pulling the trigger on updating? Cheers...

The P4P has landed - and almost ...

Well done. I have always landed rather than hand catch. As it gets closer to the ground, easing very gradually the throttle, it'll get into ground effect where it seems to smooth out even in gusty conditions. If not, bring her up a bit and stand upwind to block the wind some. It'll set down very...

    Growth of Value...wazzup?

I apparently suck because my growth of value is stuck on 0. Goose egg. Zilch. :)

This is really nice. The best part was waiting for the wife to leave. :) I now have to make one myself!

Where to Fly in regards to Private property

Absolutely correct. My addition is not to loiter above any private property. Fly over enroute to your destination or goal of your mission and press on.

Got my 1st taste of Drone hate...

As a retired Air Traffic Controller, I'm here to say that many of those Skyhawks, Skylanes, and Centurions flying overhead ARE taking detailed imagery for the likes of Google, Bing and other 'Organizations'. I spent the better part of 32 years facilitating their photo tracks and orbits at very...

POLL? How many on here shoot in Auto and Semi-auto camera modes on their P4P?

Manual always. Unless just banging around not shooting anything specific. On auto, I do use the spot metering thing and tap the screen.

    Flying in Fog

Performance diminishes flying in moist air. The airfoil is not as efficient so your battery life would be a bit less. Maneuvering could be diminished as well. Aerodynamics. :)

    exsposure steps on the P4P

The aperture doesn't change gradually. It snaps from one setting to another. It'll show in the video. Manual is the way to go. Or... expose for the highlight and bring out the shadow in post.

    night flying waiver

I believe you must have a Part 107 license to apply for a waiver. I don't have a night waiver but I do have an airspace waiver. It took about 5 weeks from the time I submitted the form. It goes to the local ATC for their input.
