I periodically turn my phantom around and look back at my take off point to see if I still have line of sight. If I still have a clear line to where I took off from, I can keep going. Trees kill signal right away.

Hi all, I've noticed a straight white line on my GPS map that goes from a point I recently took off from (multiple flights ago) to my most regularly used location in my back yard. Looks as though the home point gets set correctly with the "H" tack and I can see the green line follow the bird...

Mine did that when I accidentally put in an SD card with old firmware. I solved the problem by going through the firmware ugrade process on the bird and suffered through the 10 or 15 mins of beeping.

Does the rc and phantom always need to be on the same firmware? I updated the phantom to 1.4 successfully but when I fire up the go app (updated today) it doesn't prompt me for the firmware update. Looking it says the rc is still on 1.3.2. Safe to fly?
