I have a p3s and a p3a, and I have rth'd many times as well, and I have never landed, not even once on the ground. I always hand catch. Hand catch is the best way to land, I even did it with my old p1.
My new p3a was doing this first flight. I realized I had left a little piece of shipping foam on the gimbal. Took it off and it worked great. Worth checking for.
Nothing happens for me. But for calls I just reject them with message usually. I have a note 4. I also constantly press the home button to do diff things like start recording with my screen recorder, or even text, or change brightness etc.

I was having that problem yesterday so I just landed and restarted my phone (note 4) and everything was fine after that. It was the first time it happened in like 6 weeks of having my p3a...and it was really really stuttery...like 1 frame every 5 seconds. Worked fine after I restarted.
This is why I think flying the P1 first for so long was so beneficial to me. Only one time have I lost signal with my P3A at a very close range...which was very strange...anyway I just switched my brain into "P1 mode" and had no problem at all figuring out orientation and flying her back.
Well, I use android and the app az screen recorder works brilliantly. What's funny also is it records audio from your phone so the conversations I have if people walk up and ask me stuff is always recorded now.
I'm kinda surprised no one has mentioned az screen recorder.
