Good job! I use Litchi exclusively and have never had an issue once the mission is uploaded it will complete that unless attacked by a seagull or bad mission planning.

Use litchi app and Google earth. Plan your flight on Google Earth and then import that to Litchi. There are dozens of videos on this on YouTube

Use Litchi set your path of flight along the river and set camera to the compass angle 90 degrees to the right of the flight path ( google earth ) will help with the angles.

I would imagine they are individual shots stored on the ad card which you will then have to stich together. I don't use DJI Go very often and haven't in more than a year but can't imagine that they will be a true time lapse straight off the card but will leave the step by step to those that...

If what you are talking about us the same as doing a little Earth panorama use PTgui software there are plenty of demos on YouTube.

Not sure if this has been done but you can get 360 degree images with Litchi panoramic and then stich them together to make little Earth images.
