I'm certainly no expert, but on image 19 it appears the downward bracket is bent to the side just ever so slightly. Thus would certainly cause the issue you're seeing. More photos would help confirm this. If this is the case, he should certainly replace the gimbal for you!!

Are you referring to the Phantom 3 Standard or Phantom 4. I haven't seen any 4's that cheap. And if all of the bells and whistles aren't really worth the extra cash, then how about the Phantom 3 Standard? It can be purchased at a relatively low price!!
