    P3 Battery life question

I've had a P3 battery for just over 1 month. In that time I've recharged it only 4 times. Today I noticed the battery life has dropped to 99%. Is this normal or do I have a defective battery?

    Random "Safe to Fly Non-GPS"

I was flying today, big open field, no interferences, compass and IMU calibration performed, 12-16 satellites. I always start off with green "Safe to Fly GPS" signal. However, at random times during flight, it turns yellow and I get the "Safe to Fly Non GPS" signal. It doesn't seem to affect...

" Original DJI" Batteries from Amazon...Is this Normal

You're forgetting the sales tax. (no tax on B&H) $10.85 per battery at bestbuy + $4.50x2 = $30.69 If I were getting just one battery, I probably wouldn't care but you can get a decent ND16 for $30.

" Original DJI" Batteries from Amazon...Is this Normal

Haha, I failed to mention that I bought 2 batteries at $123 each. Tax here in California is about 8.5 - 9%.

" Original DJI" Batteries from Amazon...Is this Normal

I suggest just buying from B&H if you're not in a hurry. I originally bought from best buy a week ago at the price-matched cost of $123 which included tax of $22. However, I'm going to return them and just get the B&H $118 with free shipping and no tax. Frugality at work...

To Insure or Not to Insure...DJI Care vs. Alternatives

Thanks for getting this thread steered back on track guys and also providing your input and experience with NAM. I agree with both of your assessments above. My experience with signing up was very positive as well. Before signing the service contract, I emailed the owner Matt tons of...

To Insure or Not to Insure...DJI Care vs. Alternatives

Completely agree. Unfortunately thats not always the case. I now remember why I have not joined or contributed to a forum in many many years. Anyways, to each his/her own. I've said my last piece to Gadgetguy. I still welcome anyone with an opinion on different insurance or want to...

To Insure or Not to Insure...DJI Care vs. Alternatives

@GadgetGuy The tone of your message and your choice of words (buy NAM insurance for $287 in my paranoia; wasted $287 for a policy) insinuates a questioning of my intelligence. I am typically a reasonable, even-keeled guy and I have tried to be patient and understanding with your persistent and...

To Insure or Not to Insure...DJI Care vs. Alternatives

@GadgetGuy, I think you have made your views and opinion on DJI Care vs NAM very clear. From the number of post you've made on this forum, I can only assume that you have a wealth of knowledge about DJI phantoms and I do appreciate your input to my thread. What I don't appreciate is the now...

To Insure or Not to Insure...DJI Care vs. Alternatives

Thats the beauty of life now isn't it...Options. We all have different options and this particular one while it doesn't seem to suit you, works perfectly for me. I got a service plan that covers 2 years for the price DJI Care charges for 1 year. No deductible, no shipping fee. Much less...

To Insure or Not to Insure...DJI Care vs. Alternatives

Sure, no problem. Here is a link to their service contract: https://neary-aerial.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/UAV-Service-Contract.pdf It's also worth knowing that the owner Matt is super responsive should you find a need to email him any questions.

To Insure or Not to Insure...DJI Care vs. Alternatives

Ultimately I started this thread to get other Phantom owner's opinions on UAV insurance so as such thanks for your input. However I have read the policy and fine prints and it works perfectly for me. At the end of the day, insurance doesn't eliminate risk, it minimizes it and I am perfectly...
