Re: New video Dronexpert gimbal for Phantom Vision
Alas I am at the point of wanting to move on from the Vision. It's been a good learning experience but the lack of a gimbal for it makes decent video work very difficult in any amount of wind. And the cost of the gimbals that aren't even...
Sooooo want a gimbal now, after many flights in it's the thing that ever so slightly bugs me. The Droneexpert gimbal looks great but wow over $700 shipped to Australia nooooooooooooooooooo way!
Hi all,
I read in the other topic regarding the Flytrex that it uses its own barometric altimeter and this is more accurate than using GPS. I got mine installed today and did a very quick 3 minute flight to make sure it's working. The weather conditions are far from ideal being very windy so I...
I got my Flytrex yesterday and two of the body screws just would not come out. A night of absolute frustration. Today though I discovered I could do what needed to be done without completely removing the top, so problem solved and it's now installed.
Also keep in mind your environment, you mention you are in a city. There may be a lot of competing radio transmissions, structures blocking the transmissions, could be a lot of factors. The best way to know if you have a problem with your Phantom is to go out to an open area and try flying there.
That was a concern of mine, not that I fly over the 400' height restriction here or within 5.5km of an airport, but I still don't want big brother snooping in what I do. The good part is you can keep the record private and not published on their website.
I'm blessed to work in a beautiful location and took the PV out during my lunch break. Thought I'd share a photo with you all. I did record video but the winds are blowing pretty hard with stronger gusts so as I panned the PV angles into the wind to maintain position.
That sounds utterly ridiculous and a case of those workers having no clue. I would however suggest you contact your county office (if there is such a thing) or whoever manages the ordinances there and ask to speak to someone who can advise you of any restrictions.
I picked up my case from Supercheap Auto and it's perfect! So lucky there was a cheaper alternative.
Not the best job on plucking the foam but it fits snug and safe so that's all that matters.
