Thank you for your input, joebreed74. I'm hoping for a loose cable or oxidized connections when I open her up. Not sure if I'm qualified to assess the status of the wi-fi module on my own.
Out of curiosity, was the unit that you replaced the same one that took a two hour dip in a lake? Mine has...
Can you help me understand how this unit can burn out while not powered? The logic behind that escapes me, but I can be slow at times. :) EDIT: I'm also confused as to why commands to the aircraft from the app work, along with the telemetry, if the wi-fi module is bad. Wouldn't that preclude me...
Chiming in here rather than starting a new thread... I'm in a similar situation.
My PV2+ has been idle for just over four months. It lives in my office in a Tradecraft case that I purchased with my original PV. The last flight in April went smoothly - the client was happy with the results and...

I really wish FAA (and the media) would make up their minds. Can we not fly over 400 feet or can we not fly under 400 feet? Heh. Too bad the pilot or owner didn't have their info on the aircraft, at least they could get it back.
Love it. Not the first time that GMA has used drone footage, and certainly not the last. Here's another example:

Strange, I know, but I wish there were an active volcano nearby - I'd fly over it too.
Dunno - experienced pilot or not, the ability to autonomously circle a fixed point of interest would be very handy. This video of a WooKong-M programmed flight would be hard to do no matter your skill.

Options B and C are likely not viable - Most consumer product protection plans are tied to the serial number of the device to stop just this sort of fraud. Found this in the Geek Squad Protection Plan terms and conditions:
Re: DJI has released the new firmware v3.08 for Phantom 2 se
I'm wondering about this too. Like many others here, I often reset my home point at an altitude that will allow the aircraft to avoid copter-magnets (trees!) should a RTH be initiated. If this new feature cannot be disabled in some...
Sounds to me as if the OP is having more of a problem with exposure metering. I've found that when using the "Average" setting the exposure changes dramatically throughout video shots as the light changes - the firmware is evaluating the entire scene and compensating for the variable light...
Echoing the posters above, try searching for camera straps. That's what I use - took one from my gear bag that used to be on an old Canon. B+H Photo has some nice leather ones if you don't mind spending the coin. Most all of the TX straps I've seen are the narrow nylon webbing kind - not nearly...
Just to throw in one more "yes" - I do this all the time with the inverter in my Jeep. I charge as I drive between shooting locations with the battery in a lipo bag.
